So what’s all the “rage” about the recently released video game, “Rage”? Everything. Graphics, gameplay, and storyline. id Software has regularly set new industry standards since they dropped the bomb on us that was “Wolfenstein 3D”. Below I’ve written a mini-review for Rage to give you an idea of the graphics and gameplay. I played the PS3 version of Rage for this review, however the other versions are just as amazing.
Gameplay and Story: The story is something that has been done before: earth nearly wiped out by an asteroid and you emerge from an underground vault, ready to take on anything representing evil. However, the newly-formed wasteland is not a friendly place. Most of the remaining creatures you meet in Rage will do their best to kill or capture you, and as the story plays out, you’ll know why. Rage is a straight-up shooter.

Graphics: Rage, built using id Software’s unique “Tech 5″ engine, is by far one of the best looking games ever made for a console, period, end of story. The amount of tiny details put into Rage is breathtaking. It’s easy to be overwhelmed by the realistic scenery, or the true-to-life animations of the characters. Rage controls are very smooth, and the game consistently throws in interesting challenges, and provides neat ways to upgrade your arsenal from top to bottom.

Keeping this short and sweet, Rage is an amazing game that I personally will be playing 24/7 until I complete it. I’m sucked into the story like a bug in a bug zapper and cannot let go. id Software really did theirselves in with this one. Excellent game!
As Rage cheat codes emerge from id Software’s abyss, they will be added to our Rage cheat codes page. So check back often!
