ok all u gunners in monster hunter, the key is strategy. lets take "my first monster hunt". to sucessfully complete the quest, u need to kill three velociprey without getting into combat with it(not getting hit). i suggest u carry 3 clusts(lvl 1), and 9 crags(lvl 1) these r the cheapest and easiest ways to kill the velociprey. go to area 10 without going thru area 8! when b4 the area 8 entrance, load ur gun(preferably upgraded to three or four) with a clust. go to area 8 with ur gun OUT! (velocipreys can hear u and catch u if u take it out near them!) hit r, and aim for the middlish section or the closest bush. shoot, and hopefully u will hit the velociprey and it dies. notice u have moved back a little, and another shot without moving will send u back to area 10 and the shot u fired wont hit the velociprey! after u shoot the first velociprey, u should go back to area 10. then, load up ur gun with another clust. if at anytime u run out of clusts, use a crag, and two of them will kill a velociprey. with ur gun out, go back to area 8 and kill the next closest monster. then after it jumps down off the ledge, kill the last one.
